Huawei is, next to Xiaomi, China’s largest smartphone manufacturer at the moment. This company is actually the third largest smartphone OEM in the world, and has managed to sell 108 million smartphones last year. That being said, Huawei has introduced their new flagship devices quite recently, the Huawei P9 and P9 Plus, and their Honor 5C mid-ranger is expected to launch soon as well (April 28th). Huawei tends to release other smart gadgets, not only smartphones, as you probably already know, like the MediaPad M2 10.0 tablet which was introduced back in January. Well, it seems like Huawei decided to release yet another tablet in the Philippines quite recently, read on.

The Huawei MediaPad T1 7.0 is Huawei’s entry-level tablet which was introduced back in March 2015, and the company has just announced its successor, the MediaPad T1 7.0 Plus. As already mentioned, this tablet was introduced in the Philippines, and it was unveiled during the company’s press event in the country. The MediaPad T1 7.0 Plus sports higher-end specs than its predecessor, but it is still not exactly a high-end tablet, more like a low to mid-range offering. The device features a 7-inch 1024 x 600 IPS display, along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable internal storage. The device is fueled by Spreadtrum’s SC7731G quad-core SoC running at 1.2GHz, along with the Mali-400MP GPU. The 4,100mAh battery is included on the inside of this device, and it offers a reverse charging functionality, which is not something we see that often on tablets. The 5-megapixel shooter is placed on the back of this tablet, and a 2-megapixel front-facer is also a part of the package. Android 4.4 KitKat comes pre-installed on the MediaPad T1 7.0 Plus, and on top of it, you’ll find Huawei’s Emotion UI (EMUI) 3.0 skin. This tablet also ships with a SIM card slot and offers 3G connectivity (900 / 2100MHz), which is a nice addition, that’s for sure.

The Huawei MediaPad T1 7.0 Plus measures 191.8 x 107 x 8.5mm, while it weighs 278 grams. This tablet is priced at 6,490 Philippine Pesos ($140), and it can be purchased at Lazada Philippines.
