Acer has announced the launch of its Predator 15 and 17 gaming notebooks in India.

Acer has announced the launch of its Predator 15 and 17 gaming notebooks in India. The new gaming notebooks are powered by Intel’s sixth generation Core i7 processor.

Acer Predator 15 and 17 are running Windows 10 and come with features that appeal to gamers. Considering the heavy use of graphics, Acer has added an aluminium fan and dust defender which ensure that the laptop won’t heat up easily.

In order to keep the heat low, Acer has worked with Cooler Master to create FrostCore technology that allows users to swap the optical drive with a Cooler Master designed fan module. Acer says this fan module will stay exclusive to its products.

With gaming having turned online and completely multiplayer, Acer has developed a new technology which allows Ethernet and WiFi to work together for high speed online multiplayer games. This will appeal to all the folks who prefer playing online games and will also help users stream their Xbox games to PC.

A good gaming machine needs great audio and Acer has tried to address that with Predator SoundPound which includes four built-in speakers and two subwoofers with Dolby Audio surround sound enhancement. Acer is also bundling a gaming headphone, gaming mouse and gamer-centric backpack with the laptop.

While Acer has added a lot to its Predator notebook, it has also managed to keep the hardware specifications top-notch. Acer Predator 15 and Predator 17 come with Full HD displays, but the company is also offering an option of 4K UHD display with its Predator 15 notebook. Under the hood, there is a Core i7-6700HQ processor coupled with 4GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX980M.

Acer is using a hybrid storage system here with 128GB SSD and 1TB SATA hard disk drive.

Acer Predator series notebooks feature USB Type-C port for charging and up to 4 USB3.0 ports. The notebooks also feature backlit keyboard with four different lighting zones.

Acer Predator series notebooks start at Rs 1,79,000 and will be available through both online and offline retail channels.
